Thank you for this recipe. I had so many potatoes and green beans and this was perfect. I did end up adding a couple of other spices since I had them on hand; coriander, turmeric, ginger. Even the non-vegans at home ate it!

I wouldn't do that in a recipe like this. They give nowhere as near a good flavour. The onions are important for texture too. Fresh onions and garlic are very important ingredients in a curry.
