What is Hollie's Hub for Good?

DigitalOcean’s mission is to simplify cloud computing so builders can spend more time creating software that changes the world. We know in order to create positive change, we must empower builders across all sectors. Hollie’s Hub for Good—as part of DO Impact—is our commitment to the builders in the nonprofit and social enterprise sector, where we provide infrastructure credits to make DigitalOcean products more accessible to these changemakers.

Here’s what we’re committing each year:

  • $500K in infrastructure credits, as well as promotion and amplification of nonprofits and social enterprises who are part of the program.

Frequently asked questions

What is the origin of Hollie’s Hub for Good (HH4G)?

DigitalOcean employee Hollie Haggans created our Hub for Good in 2020 as a way for us to support our global community during the COVID-19 pandemic. When Hollie tragically passed away in 2021, we were proud to honor her by renaming the program to Hollie’s Hub for Good (HH4G).

Now part of DO Impact (DigitalOcean’s broader social impact programming) Hollie’s Hub for Good is a key pillar in our efforts to empower changemakers around the globe through products and philanthropy.

Who is Hollie?

Hollie Haggans was DigitalOcean’s 150th employee who helped build our Hub for Good and was a fierce champion of our community of developers and startups. Her legacy will live on through this program, and we will continue to advance the inspiring work she accomplished during her more than five years at DigitalOcean.

What does DigitalOcean provide?

Once your project is approved, we’ll provide up to $2,500 in credits to get you started. Please note that credits are given on a one-time offer basis.

Can I receive support that isn’t in the form of infrastructure credits?

Please email nonprofits@digitalocean.com describing the kind of support you need. We’re happy to discuss opportunities for partnership.

How long will it take to hear back from the DigitalOcean team?

We are committed to replying to every application within 10 days of submission.

How can we join DigitalOcean as a partner in this effort?

What does it mean if I give DigitalOcean permission to share my project?

If you are accepted into the HH4G program, you are also providing permission for DigitalOcean to share information provided in your application—and identifiers like your project name, logo, and trademark—in any format we choose for promoting projects in this program. If you change your mind, or have concerns about how we are sharing your project, you can always reach out to us at nonprofits@digitalocean.com.
