Another year has come and (almost) gone and I thought it would be fun to see which were the top 10 recipes on A Virtual Vegan in 2016. It has certainly been a great year with lots of tasty recipes and I have seen AVV grow before my very eyes. I am so excited to see what 2017 has to offer!
I used Google Analytics to come up with the 10 most popular vegan recipes according to page views. Count down with me to see which recipe claimed the Number 1 spot!
OK are you all ready? These are The Top Ten A Virtual Vegan recipes for 2016:
10) Creamy Curry Chickpea Soup
(Complete with 'the boob in the spoon' picture which ended up blowing up all over Facebook when a few of you noticed it! I had absolutely no idea what caused it (no I was not photographing naked ☺️), but after seeing it again and again in other photos, I finally discovered that it was the reflection of the overhead light pendant!)
9) Lemon Lavender Shortbread Cookies
8) Lentil Shepherd's Pie
7) Vegan Barbecue Baked Beans
6) Roasted Garlic Buddha Bowl
5) Vegan Meatloaf with Gravy
4) Vegan Black Bean Lime Burgers
3) Portobello Pot Roast
2) Easy Tomato Basil Soup
1) Easy Homemade Vegan Butter
Well that just about wraps up 2016. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart for making AVV a part of your lives. It's certainly been a bumper year and hopefully 2017 will be even bigger and better!
Let me know in the comments what your favourite recipe of 2016 was. I would love to know!
I am adding this a year later as I thought a link to The Best Vegan Recipes of 2017 might be fun for you to see!

The butter is AMAZING. It tastes like butter. really tastes like butter, not margerine or some funky weird want to be butter. So delicious and easy to make. I get so tired of all the people who want to make this oil free or nut free or are thinking coconut oil is unhealthy UUUURRRRGGGG....move on people. Get another recipe because this one is PERFECT just the way it is.

Thank you! I'm so glad you are enjoying it. I understand the nut-free people asking for alternatives. It must be really frustrating when you see a recipe you want to make but have an allergy. But I am totally with you on the oil-free people. If you don't like eating oil or believe it is unhealthy, why are you looking at butter recipes?!!! Nothing that is remotely like butter can be made oil-free. ????

Love just about every recipe! My daughter introduced me to your AVV site, when she made the Potato Leek soup.
I made the Mince as my holiday gift to friends and family. I can eat that by the little spoonfuls. My other daughter is attempting a vegan diet starting today, after learning the global impact of raising meat for consumption. I will now want to try each of the 10 top recipes...
Thank you for your wonderful time and energy to create for all of us to experience.
I'll pay attention to the Amazon linking :-)
A Virtual Vegan says
That's so good to hear Lisa! Enjoy cooking your way through the Top 10. It sounds like it will be a family affair which is awesome. The Amazon links help offset some of the cost of running AVV so any shopping you do through them is much appreciated. It even counts if you click on the link then buy something totally different ;O) Thanks so much and Happy New Year!
